Scheduled Time: Every last Thursday of the month, we open our doors for a unique gathering that's both fun and supportive.
Our Journey So Far: For the past two and a half years, these Drop-Ins have been a beacon of community and camaraderie.
Our Attendees: Each month, we see an enthusiastic turnout of 20-30 care leavers. Our event is particularly popular among those in Peterborough, but we warmly extend our invitation to all care leavers across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire.
Our Cuisine: A highlight of our Drop-Ins is the delicious Jamaican jerk chicken, perfectly paired with rice and peas, tangy sweet and sour sauce, homemade coleslaw, and Jamaican-style dumplings. It's more than just a meal; it's a celebration of flavors and fellowship.
Our Activities: While we love our BBQ theme, the Drop-Ins are about so much more. They offer a fantastic opportunity for care leavers to connect, share experiences, and access support. Personal advisors are on hand to discuss any issues related to health, finances, housing, and more.
Our Partners: We're proud to have stakeholders from Peterborough council, including Housing and Welfare advisors and Commissioning Managers, join us. Their presence adds an invaluable dimension of support and guidance.
